For the men on here that wear bands/rings, what size width do you wear?

Also, do you think 6mm or 8mm is a better look?

Bonus PSA!: Don't buy a white gold wedding band unless you want your ring to look like it's 30 years old after just one year!

I'm looking to get a tungsten wedding band and since I'm ordering online I'm torn between getting a 6mm and 8mm band.

I wear a size 11 and currently have a 6mm width but think a 8mm might be better for me since I'm somewhat larger of a person at 6'3" and 230 pounds.

What does everyone else that has a ring wear?

EDIT: Links to the rings I'm considering also.

All choices are either in 6mm or 8mm.

I have no idea what I'm wearing right now... its yellow gold with some white gold design on it. I don't have a ruler either so I cant tell you how wide it is. I went to the store and just tried a few on that I liked the look of.

God I'm useless.

holy smokes, i don't know that much about my ring

it's a titanium band. after 4 1/2 years it has a nice brushed metal look to it. it has been quite marked up but i only take it off to shower so it gets bumped and banged quite a bit. i like it though. it fits loose enough that i can usually take it off using my thumb on the same hand, just spinning it and pushing up. however it's snug enough to feel like it isn't going anywhere.

it took me a few weeks to get used to wearing a ring, especially while gripping a golf club.

edit: i tried to measure the width but the ruler i have here with mms on it is shitty. i've seen wider so i'm guessing 6mm?

Mine is gold colored and it came as a set with the ring I bought for the wife.

Thats all I can tell you about it.

My ring size is a 9.5 I think and my band is 8mm. I have this ring in platinum. It's heavy, thick and relatively wide compared to most rings. I think it has a masculine look to it, so I would definitely go with the 8mm if I were you.

[edit]Here is what it looks like on my hand. Yes, I do have thumbs. I'm ~6'1" and about 200lbs, so while not a huge guy I think the bigger ring still looks better.[/edit]

8mm tungsten/gold inlay. I like it a lot, not a scatch on it (tungsten is pretty hard), and it's nice and heavy feeling. It might not be right for everyone, but I like the larger size/heavier feel.

*edit - this is very similar to what I have: http://tinyurl.com/368ct9

I have custom made band that's about 7mm I think. I'm just guessing though. I'm at work and the ring is at home - I haven't worn it in years. It's nice though, very thin and has a half-ring of very small inlaid diamonds. Too bad I don't like wearing rings.

Tungsten, good choice. :) It's very heavy, so make sure you don't mind that... I actually like the heft, but for some it may be hard to get used to. I love my tungsten ring, I have smacked it against everything and it doesn't have a single scratch. I was fishing the other day and hit the concrete pretty hard while wearing it, there was little pieces of the sidewalk on my ring, I wiped them away and not a scratch. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I like white gold, just bought my gf some diamond earrings and a ring in white gold. I think it looks sharp and better than yellow gold
