i am thinking of running a webserver on a linux box in a colo .. but am not sure what all i need to lock down and what all binaries i should remove.
i have used nmap and killed all open ports except 80,443 and 22.
also i am currently on redhat 6.2 and apache 1.3.22 but i can go updown on more secure versions as i just am going to serve static content .
Please help a newbie out ?
