Question for Gigabyte 8SG667 owners: DDR333 or 400?

Various benchmarks on the net are showing DDR400 to have little, no, or even a slight disadvantage to running DDR333. I'm about to buy the 8SG667 and was wondering if you can run your own benchmarks at 333 and 400 and report back with your findings?

Bottom line is why pay more for DDR400 when it doesn't do anything?

Evan's review here definitely shows that DDR400 gives a big boost over DDR 333 when both chips were running default timings. I think the review you might be referring to is the one that ocworkbench did. In that one he compared DDR 333 at CAS2 to DDR400 at CAS2.5. In that comparison the advantage of running CAS2 was apparent and actual gaming scores were higher. But, you MIGHT be able to get DDR400 CAS2 and if not just clock the memory a bit slower and run it at CAS2. It will be much faster than DDR333. DDR333 won't be capable of going much higher than 333 at CAS2 timings.
