Question for FastTrak owners

Hi,

When I go into the Bios of the FastTrak 66, in the proformance section there are 3 choices: Desktop, Server, and A/V.

Whats the best one? I have it on desktop now, but would any of the others be faster?

Uhhh.... what BIOS version do you have? I don't think I've seen those settings in my FastTrack66 BIOS.
 
Those 3 choices are in all the FT bioses, at least for the FT66, but I think they are for the automatic configuration option. You should use the manual config option (define array I believe). Then you can change the stripe sizes (1K to 1024K) around to see which one is the best for your setup. Usually people get the best result between 16K and 64K.
 
Oh, thats probably why I haven't seen it. The best stripe size is 64kb. Toms Hardware did some tests and found that 64kb was the best all around performing block size.
