Currently I'm preparing to sell approximately $3000-4000 of items on eBay to cash in on the xmas gift rush for boosted prices, but I was wondering at what date would you set these items to end on?
For 1-2 item auctions I usually set them to end around 8-9PM EST (as most people on eBay are on the east coast) and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (the day isn't such a big deal, as long as it's not a Friday or Saturday)
I was going to set them on auction later tonight, but then realized 1 week from now Thanksgiving will be around, thus less people would be online to look at items, and most of the bids on an item come either on the first 24 hrs. or the last 24 hrs. (your items are displayed on the first page in the first 24 hrs... then seep down into oblivion, and when somebody does a search, in the last 24 hrs. your items are back up on top).
Should I set them to end on Friday or Sunday evening? Or do you think most people will still be away on Thanksgiving vacation (me personally I always spend Thanksgiving at my house, so I'm not sure if that would be a good thing for auctions to end over vacation as people have more time to spend, or if it's a bad thing as a lot of people could be away at relatives' homes)
My best guess would be for me to start my auctions next Tuesday or Wednesday, and stretch most of the items over 2 weeks to catch a lot of buyers' eyes, but I'm up for any opinions.
