Hi, I plan on buying this PSU to replace a dead PSU in an HP from the early 2000s. I had a question for owners of this PSU. I noticed in pictures that, like most PSUs, there is a plastic faceplate on the "outlet" on the back of the PSU that sticks out a bit, and it looks like it's secured on by two screws.
The HP case is designed in such a way that a PSU with a faceplate that sticks out won't fit properly in the case, so my question is this: what happens if you unscrew the faceplate that sticks out? Does just the part that sticks out come off when you unscrew the screws, and do you see any potential issues (safety, etc) with me doing this? It's the only way that it'd fit properly in the case so I'm hoping it'd be okay to do.
Thanks!
