Question for digital photo peeps....what dye sub printer do you have?

I'm looking for a mid-low end dye sub printer for around $500. Any recommendations?

Is this sony one any good? Sony DPP-EX7

i dont have one. cant afford it

but a friend of mine has a sony that only prints 4x6 and it works nice.

its similar to that one you have listed just older.

I read on photo.net that dye subs are slowly fading in popluarity in favor of inkjets.

I was under the impression that dye sub printers produced pictures superior to inkjets.

the good ones do produce better pictures. the problim is they cost too damn much. you can buy 2 inkjets for teh price of a dye sub.

also as color lazer printers come down in price. peopel will jump on thoes
