Question for Comcast HD cable subscribers

HomerJS

Lifer
Picked up an HD box and when I got it home noticed it didn't have an HDMI port. Called Comcast and they said the HDMI port is only available on the HD/DVR box.

I don't want to pay for the DVR service. Does anyone have the DVR box without the DVR service?

I have a HD-DVR and it only has DVI and component output for HD. Are you sure they said HDMI is available?

Do you have the motorola 6412? Apparently they have a new model that has an HDMI output.

I have the new motorola with HDMI output. I was actually offered it for free by the cable guy because it was all he had, but otherwise I do not think you can get the HDMI port without paying for the DVR.
