question for casino gamblers

I want to know how I can set up a credit line with the casino so I can get a "marker?"
instead of carrying wads of bills everytime i go.
Where at the casino do i go to have this set up? what do i need to bring?

someone please talk me through the whole process so I don't look like a noob chump when i do go to set it up...

TIA.

I've never set one up. I would assume just bring two forms of ID, a social security card and walk up to the cashier and ask to open a line of credit.

Once you sign the inital forms, an ID is probably all that is needed in the future.

you're asking two different things. if you don't want to bring wads of cash every time, just bring money once and setup an account at the cashier. all you need is an ID or at some places just a player's club card.

actually getting a credit line is probably a little more complicated but a couple forms of ID should do it.

In Indiana a bill is now being introduced that requires you to be sober before taking any credit. Some moron sued the casino for *gasp* allowing him to take out 75K on credit.

Get this, the Senator's answer was "well people can take out however much they like from an ATM so this is no different". WTF???

An account that you deposit and gamble against it is a Front Money Account. Any cashier at the casino cage can handle that for you. Lines of casino credit are established with your casino host. Lines of credit are based on your amount of play and your credit score.

Although the Senator is a bit off, I can't disagree with his sentiments. I am tired of the government babysitting so-called adults.

If you are dumb enough to gamble while drunk and ring up a tab, then you deserve to lose every penny you gamble away.

Im sure the senator hasnt used an ATM in his life. He has enough wads of money stuffed under the mattress from lobbyists.

You will need to bring your checkbook and forms of ID. If I remember correctly, they ask for a blank check for their records. I inquired about it before but never actually did it. I'm not sure how interest works. You have a short period of time to pay it off. Otherwise, they start breaking limbs.
