Question for Canon ELPH Owners...

does video taken on the camera play automatically once downloaded onto the PC? i cant seem to get mine to play properly i have the current divx and nimo codecs and a s200. do u have to rename the file/compress it afterward or anything? ....tia

The native movie files are, as I recall, Quicktime AVI files, so you need to have Quicktime installed. I find they also play fine in WMP 9. You do not have to do anything to decompress them.

agreed. i have the s110 and they play just fine.

got it thanks! kinda annoying opening it in qt tho since i like using wmp for everythnig else...anyone know how wmp9 is?

Now I don't suppose the s100 elph can be firmware flashed to take vid clips......or can it?

the camera is awesome, i was debating whether to hold out for the s230 but the dell deal sucked me in...damn HD forum...:eek:
