How long does it take to get from the airport to downtown?

Assuming one's plane lands at about 10am?
 
Only about 15 minutes. You just jump on 93 and it'll take you through the tunnel into downtown pretty quickly. By 10 the traffic shouldn't be too bad either.
 
not long at all - even though it can take as little as 15 minutes, if you have to be somewhere on time, i'd factor in some extra time.

Then you transfer to the Redline to downtown. Or take the Blue line from the Airport to Goverment Center... which is fairly close to downtown
 
The T is definitely the better way to get around town if it's at all possible. Boston drivers are maniacs. Bring singles, instead of nice useful tokens, you get to buy friggin' Charlie Cards now to ride the subway 🙁
