Yesterday at the gym I saw a crew filming some hotties on the treadmills. I thought it was for a commercial, until later I saw an 8.5x11" sign taped to a wall near where they were filming. It said they were taping for a new show "Women of Wrestling", and that by your presence in the area you gave your consent to have your image, voice, etc. used by the company. If you didn't agree you shouldn't be in the area.

Does that "release" hold water? Since the sign wasn't even visible from my initial vantage point I couldn't have known what they were doing.

probably not. consent by silence is a very difficult thing to have stand up in court.

1. Pics?
2. My legal advice is to create a sign saying that your silence is your consent to me not running round nude. If you don't consent, then you shouldn't be here. Post it on the door. Drop your pants and run around for everyone to see. Bonus points if you get on a treadmill and run a few miles.

I am pretty sure it is legal to take video of a person, but not sound.
And your expectation of privacy in a public place is pretty much null and void. Just like GGW.

edit: pics???

Is a gym that requires a paid membership to enter considered a public place?
