Funny, had this discussion just the other day. Most average men seem to operate on logic and rationality. Women tend operate on emotions and feelings. If you watch the gossip that goes on between bro's vs a conversation of girls, you'll notice a trend like that.

This is the reason as to why your mom prays for you while you (as a male) wonder what's the point.
