I am just curious if AT&T has this feature like T-Mobile does.

Can you, as an AT&T wireless customer, log into your account at www.att.com and then add "international roaming" as an additional, free service to your account, thus allowing your phone to roam outside the USA? Or would have to call AT&T to enable such a feature?

I don't think AT&T has "international roaming" for free.

Their phones are lock also. If you want to use it outside the country, you'll need to call them to get an unlock code to unlock your phone.

Also, this should go to Gadgets Gear and Phones forum.

Not exactly.

With T-Mobile, you just add "international roaming" as an additional free service and you can use your phone overseas with your normal number. Now, if you want to use a foreign SIM card in your locked phone, then yes, you have to unlock your phone first.

ROFL! Serious?

"The server you are attempting to contact is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience."

found it quite common on sunday mornings, not just with ATT.

but IIRC there it's available as some sort of an upgrade with a fee involved.
