I have a SATA and a PATA, and install was a breeze.
I hooked everything up, and when I was ready to install Windows I just unplugged the power to the PATA drive to prevent OS installation going to this drive.
In BIOS turn off the NVRAID and the Silicon SATA options. Note that under the IDE menu there are options for SATA as well, leave these enabled.
Turn on the power, install XP, and as soon as you get into Windows (second boot) install the NVidia (6.65) Drivers - omit the IDE portion of these.
Reboot and enjoy - and don't forget to plug your PATA back in if you have one
BTW - I use 6.65 instead of 6.66 because they're WHQL, and 6.66 are more for Win 2k/2003.
Also I should add, that on first power up be sure to set all your BIOS options. For example, my MBs were defaulted to OC, the one wanted to run at 5000+ MHz :Q , and Video on both wanted to output to PCI instead of PCIEX. Nothing like booting up to a blank screen.
