Question for any Drexel University students: Caller ID on campus?

I'm looking for a cordless phone to buy for my dorm room. Obviously I will be going to Drexel this fall, and I was wondering if I should bother looking for a phone with caller id. I know I don't need an answering machine because they have voicemail. Thanks for the input.

I'd either call the University's telecomm dept and ask them if the phone system for dorms supports Caller IDs or I'd hold off on buying a phone until you get there. Caller ID stuff has to be enabled in the system and whether or not the system can support it depends on how old the phone systems are at the University....

Sounds like a good idea. I might just buy one with caller id for future proofness. I think it's only on average $10 more then non caller id models.

It doesn't exacty cost a whole lot more to get a phone with caller ID. Might as well get it, just in case.

Well... I go to Drexel. I'm sitting in VanR dorm right now, but I'm not sure if CallerID works or not because I've never tried it. I'll ask around and see if I can provide an answer.

I think Call ID does work, but you have to pay extra for it...

I was in Myers last year but i didn't use their phone service...

I skimped and only recieved calls or used a calling card

I remember someone havin it...not sure
