Question for all you Warcraft 3 b.net players

My roommate who is a psycho war3 player, just bought me frozen throne so I can play on bnet with him. Do I need a valid warcraft 3 classic key to play frozen throne or battle.net? I'd install it now and check for myself, but I can forsee that being my ultimate demise if it works seeings how I have a midterm tomorrow morning.

You need the original Warcraft 3. Not sure on valid key and what not.

No one key can be used by two person at the same server.

I know that more than two keys can't be active at one time, but for frozen throne players do they check both keys (classic and FT) or just the Frozen Throne key.

I'm 99% sure you need a unique War3 key and a unique FT key.

I know that Diablo 2 is that way. You need both of them to be unique, or it doesn't work right.
