You want to know which president, as in 41st, 42nd, 43rd, etc. was Linden Johnson. You are asking someone who has no context i.e. something like a librarian. Which is the most correct way to ask? If other, please give a suggestion.

I just can't understand how people can leave school without a knowledge of apostrophe usage, and then go through life consciously avoiding and ignoring any advice people try to give you on how to use them.

You never need to use an apostrophe to signify a plural of something.

I'm guessing 'which ordinal president' is pretty close to correct, but if you actually want an answer, try saying 'what number president' ;)
