I purchased three sets of Plantronics M175 ($39.99) and one Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical keyboard/mouse combo ($99.98).

$39.99 x 3= $119.97 + $99.98 keyboard/mouse

$119.97
$ 99.98
$219.95
-40 Staples coupon
$175.95

Called Blue Best Value Guarantee to PM with Buy.com $24.33 for headsets and $73.57 for the keyboard/mouse but the CSR said he'd have to divide the $40 coupon and subtract $10 from each item, which would make the headset less then a $10 difference and prevent me from PM'ing them all together. I started to complain and the CSR stated this was directly from he's supervisor. So, what's up??? Did I get a bogus answer. Can I fight this?

We ended our conversation by me requesting a claim number for all items and advising the CSR that I would still send everything and let the claims examiner make the final decision.

I've seen this type of deal posted before but I never heard the outcome. Unfortunately, I would guess that Amex will be able to weasel out of this one, because there is nothing stating that the entire $40 coupon applied to any specific item. If I did my math correctly, you'd actually be better off returning the items to Staples, re-purchasing them w/out the $40 off coupon and then just price matching the whole lot to Buy.com. You'd get back around $45 for the headphones and around $26 for the keyboard/mouse. You'll probably have to pay for shipping but that should still be less than the original price. Hope this helps.
