Question for Acura/BMW Owners

What job do you have? It's an interesting question for me since I'm a college student and I'm picturing my future job right now in terms of the car I'll be driving. I'm hoping not all of you are lawyers / doctors / engineers / business owners ... cause the my econ major is going to be *bleh*.

If you plan your future around the car you want to drive, you might find yourself very, very unhappy in about 10 years.

I'm not saying that's a FACT, but it's definitely worth thinking twice about. If you don't enjoy your work, your life could turn into a living hell.

LOL, I'm thinking maybe Honda. Technically, I'm a Management Science major which is going to get me a BS as opposed to a BA. Maybe I'll be able to afford two Hyundais!!!

Currently, I'm working at GNC as a sales associate. Haha. But then again my BMW is a 1982 320i, that I picked up for $1700(I got RIPPED OFF, they're worth a bit more than half that, but didn't know better).

You never specified if they were bought new OP 🙂

If it was completely based on what car I would drive, I'd completely agree. But I think every guy at least takes this into some consideration. I did when I dropped my structural engineering major.

my buddy was an econ major. hes only been out of school for 3 years and is now a cpa and he told me hes just got a job that pays him 95k!! apparently the accounting market is very hot right now, just like IT was a few years ago

lol, bmw and acura aren't in the same class, imho.

everyone is driving TSX/TL these days.

well, i guess the same could be said for 3-series bimmers 🙁

You took the words right out of my mouth. 😉

Anyone can get a loan and be seen in an expensive car, so don't be fooled. The rich guy is probably the one driving a Camry.

I'm a sys admin, but I don't drive the TL because it's an Acura, I got it because of what it had not what it was.

My wife has an 02 3.2CL, she really likes the new TL but she doesnt have a job, so she is SOL for getting one.
