I'm really eying a 2006 GT mustang.

Just two simple questions.

How much did you pay for it and how does it feel to be behind the wheel of one of these cars?

I paid $29,800 including taxes, tags, and gap insurance. I love it. I have red leather and the Shaker 1000 system.

Its fun to drive, its an eye catcher and has lots of potential. It's still a live axle but you can easily stiffen it up. You should snag a GT if you see it because they are still going like hotcakes. If you really want some power get a 03-04 cobra for around 25-27k. Easily a 500hp car with a few bolt ons.

Very fun car to drive. I may be doing the trade in for the SVT in 07 though.......we'll see if the wife lets me. :Q

I heard about the Cobra too. A little to pricy for me though. I heard one was auctioned off for 300k! O_O

essasin, I was a little worried about the handling of this car. Since they raised the car, it tends to make the steering a little less tighter.

- About $27k 5-spd manual with every option.
- Feels great, still have the same stupid grin on my face since the day I brought it home a year ago.
- Actually, the Shelby GT 500 went for $648,000 at Barrett-Jackson. Word on the street is that dealers are asking $20K over MSRP and $15k deposit....fvckin' ridiculous :disgust:
- Handles better than any FWD import I've owned :D. The new body is 50% more rigid than the previous SN95 generation (Including the SVT '03/'04 Cobra). It would look better if it was lowered by 1.5"..which I may do with a set of Eibach sport springs.

Hope you get it.
