Help I am very confused the Epox 4PEA+ has serial ata ports but the website FAQ says it will not support serial ata raid.....is there a difference between simple serial ata and then setting up serial ata drives in raid configuration.....does anyone know if I would be able to hook up serial ata drives and use them in a non raid configuration???

Here is quote:

SerialATA RAID not supported
SerialATA RAID is not supported. Disregard the included driver software for SerialATA RAID functionality

Here is link{l=Epox FAQ]http://www.epox.com/html/motherboard-download.asp?id=4kS3N34h0YP41Ca01A0M1c0F3e3Cq2D23WK20v0W1FD3D1X0D04w4i3J4E0Y1D1q&product=J4A43k4E1ds4H30HC1X0B10mI03oP23Hw4V0X13Qt21nq1Z10u1p1Lc1&media=4py3l3h4e1U4H30h1Cx0b10m0iO32N2DX2X10q&lang=1&date=4M4a3r4g0Y4Pc1a01a0mC10fE33cO2L11C3U3A2oP2k3p32o3Gp4[/l]

AFAIK,

Serial ATA is exactly like parallel ATA. If you don't have RAID, you just use them in a normal configuration.
