Hi, I think I probably already know what the answer to this question/problem would be but I am going to ask it anyway. Ok I just got some new memory, Corsair 400mhz Twinx512LL 2-2-3-5. I also have 2 sticks of Corsair 333 1gig. I also just got a new mobo, a NF7-S Ver. 2.0.

I had been using the MSI with the 333 memory and now I am using the 400 w/ the nf7-s. I was achieving a 2.4 ghz overclock (w/ 2400+m). My memory would overclock from 333 to something like 420/430. I now can only achieve about a 2.2-2.3 oc w/ the new memory. I tried 210x11 and that works ok, anything higher such as 10x220 (2.2) it fails. I have played with voltages and memory timings and nothing takes. I tried something low on the 10 multi just to make sure I was getting anything and it would work fine. Like 10x200. 11x200 works fine vs 10x220 (both 2.2). So I suspect something with the memory. When I run prime 95 I get errors almost immediately on torture test. I ran memtest 86 for 8 hours w/ no errors. Thanks.

From what you've said, it definately sounds like a memory problem. However, I find it hard to believe that the Corsair PC3200 can't got as high as Corsair PC2700.

Have you tried using the PC2700 (333) memory in the new NF7-S, and see how high you could go? It very well could be the board that's holding you back, though, I thought the issues with the NF7-S and higher FSB had been ironed out.

Ok, I tried the 333 in the nf7-s and I could get about the same fsb as the 400mhz.
