Question -- Correct Temps on a Tbird 1 ghz?

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what my temps should be at.
I ran a stress test for 9 hours and it came out stable but Its been testy in games... locked up both in q3 and hl... hasn't happened again but my temps seem kinda high to me. right now in windows via hm says:
CPU Temp: 28 C
Ambient : 26 C

When I ran the logger and the stress test It topped out at 49 C

Can someone let me know the ranges it should run at?
System Specs:
1ghz AMD OEM w/ ChromeOrb and thermal paste
Abit KT7
Generic PC133 128mb ram @ 133mhz (MBM5 reports 142mhz??? fluke????)

Maybe its cause the orb isn't all that, and isn't really adequately cooling your cpu?
