Question concerning the ego.

That question is poorly worded. Do you mean one's "ego" wants to put oneself in one's own "place" or put others in "their place"? Even if you clarify this you must define what the quoted words mean to you.

How does it? I thought it just tried to keep one safe and find compromises between base desires and what's socially acceptable.
