Guys, would you install a fresh OS on an overclocked rig? Or keep it at default then install. I am having a bit of a problem with my rig since I installed it overclocked... Help me out guys... thanks alot..

I always install the OS with the processor running at stock. I make sure everything runs the way I expect it to, then I start overclocking and testing to see if things have stopped working the way I expect them to.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't install the OS on an overclocked CPU if you knew you had a good overclocker and you were in a known safe overclock range. One potential problem, though, could be that if you encounter problems right off the bat you might not know whether they are overclocking problems or something else.

Since I know my XP2500 is perfectly stable at 2.2 Ghz, I've installed Windows XP with the processor overclocked a couple times... no problems.

The main factor is that the OS works fine to begin with. There is no reason that overclocking should cause problems for the OS directly - it would be because some component. ie mobo, cpu, memory, etc begins to fail because of the overclock. So in theory, if you then upgrade that component to be able to handle the oc, then any problem should go away. Of course you could also lower the overclock to fix things, but I'm sure that suggestion will fall flat in this forum.

What problems are you speaking of?

I usually go down a bit to install, depending on what speed I'm running. For example, On my Barton 2500+ @ 2.2 Ghz, I'd probably drop it to 2 Ghz just for peace of mind (even though it's runs 100% stable at 2.2 GHz).
