Alright so I've built myself a new system and everything is correctly wired my mobo LED is showing no problems yet my moniter wont turn on it just says Power Save Mode enabled hit any key to continue and here's where I'm at a dilemma.

The monitor is a crappy Dell 19" that only has a VGA/analog port on it, i'd apparently thought this wasnt a problem I have a DVI/VGA adapter piece that had worked just dandy with my old system now i'm wondering if that part has maybe gone bad or maybe it doesnt work on my new dual DVI 7800GT??

The other possibility is that my keyboard and mouse require drivers to work correctly so I'm thinking with a brand new system that doesnt even have windows installed yet that the mobo might not be detecting the keyboard so my monitor wont come off power save mode.....any thoughts on which one is it? I'd hate for it to be the monitor considering I already spent 1150 bucks on this system and a new monitor would nearly break my bank even for a cheap one.

Try the other VGA port. You have probably tried the upper one. Just a guess.
