question... cdrw problem...with installing programs

I have the lite-on 40125S drive, and when i install things... it speeds up and speeds down and doesnt seem to remain at a constant speed.

i dunno exactly what the problem is.. i have have DMA turned off in bios, and i have DMA turned on in windows, i have newest 4in1's.

i have also flashed to newest firmware..

any other sugestions would be appricated.
