This is really just a question, not a debate about whether the US federal government should or should not seize Mar-A-Lago. I know next to nothing about eminent domain, property law, or federal vs. state vs. private citizen jurisdiction or legal precedent in these matters. I'm just curious to know if someone (US military?) could make a legit argument for seizing Mar-a-Lago in the interest of national security, shutting down the club, and turning the property into another "Naval Support Facility" a la Camp David. Hypothetically, if this were to happen, who would be owed compensation? I assume Trump's estate would need to be fairly compensated, but what about all the lifetime members who've paid initiation fees and other dues?

I'm sure someone could find a reason but wouldn't that be akin to jailing Obama because he's an illegal immigrant or confiscating all of the Clintons wealth because they were involved in a child rape pizza business.
I'm just saying if it happens once it will happen again.
