question: Burning cdrom games to dvdrom possible?

gorcorps

aka Brandon
Just wanted to know if I could burn serveral discs of a cdrom game onto a dvdorm disc and have it still work right. Could I just copy the original discs onto the new disc and use alcohol for the right protection? I'm just planning on keeping the original cdroms as nice as possible, and if I could use only one disc, well thats an extra bonus.

Some games it'll work, some it won't. It's far easier to make bin/cues (or whatever your format of choice is) of the discs and put them on the DVD, then use Daemon Tools to mount them as virtual CD drives.

You could rip the CDs to images and store multiple images on the DVD, then use something like Daemon Tools to create a virtual CD drive...

edit: yukichigai beat me to it 😉

I realize we're talking about copying things, but do you have to take it so far as copying my post? 😛

Yes, I saw the edit, just wanted to be a smartass. 😉

True, never thought about that. Thanks for the help.
