Hi everyone
I have a question about shared memory usage on a Brazos laptop.
I did a few quick calculations about the current setup and my laptop has 2048MB of system memory. This amount is shared with the Radeon HD6310. To be exact it's 384MB given to the HD6310. That's 18.75% of the total 2048MB memory.
Now my question is if I add a 4096MB memory module to my laptop (removing the 2048MB module altogether) will the shared memory be based on the percentage that I calculated with the 2048MB module or will it remain a constant 384MB.
In other words, 18.75% of 4096MB is 768MB. So will my total graphics memory be 768MB after adding the 4096MB memory module or will it still be 384MB.
I hope I have made it clear as to what my question is.
Also I have gone to the bios of the laptop and this is not changeable in any way.
Thanks for any answers.
