Question bout that new dell 8250

I swapped HD's when i got my 8250, from my old 4400. and I installed a cdrw. so my question is, when there's a cdrw (tdk velocd if it matters) and a dell (lite-on i think) dvd, which one's master and which is slave... any help greatly appreciated.
 
Do you mean: If you put both optical drives on one cable, which should be master?
. If that's what you meant, then I would try to have each drive on a separate IDE channel - IOW, ALL Master! (PCI ATA-1xx adapters are cheap.) In the interim, I would put the DVD as Master and the CDRW as Slave on the secondary channel.
