Right now I have 64MB nVidia GeForce2 MX with driver verison 1.5.2.0, dated 8/30/2001. I know it's pretty ancient, but when I updated the driver via Windows Update, I couldn't read DVD's anymore. I want to update my driver and see if I can squeeze anymore out of the card, but I am unsure if today's Forceware drivers would work for my dinosaur and still allow for DVD's to be read. Thanks in advance.

the newer forceware drivers will not do anything for your 2mx. i would stick with your older drivers that worked well for you.

Don't update nvidia drivers using windows update. I've always ran into problems like that. Download the newest nvidia drivers from www.nvidia.com and see if they work. (I use these drivers on my geforce2 gts systems)

And what kinds of problems are you having with dvds? No dvds can be read, or can you not play dvd movies?
