HI,
does anyone know if the KT7A-RAID Revision 1.2 will do Athlon XPs? And if so, the maximum Xp rating that it will do.
before you say dont point me to either the manual or the abit website because ive already looked, without success.

Hmm Bad -Ass the right answer is actually not such easy, please have some insight before answering in such a definite manner.......
I had no problem running xp 1500 on my KT7A-RAID rev 1.2... Officialy the XP's are not supported due to a minor hardware timing problem that can require you to hit reset during a cold boot which is not really a problem, it never happended to me..... I would say that with the latest BIOS you will not have any problems running the XP

Adam

I am very humble individual and
this is my source of knowlege about KT7A's

Quoting from Paul's faq:
KT7A/KT7A-RAID versions 1.0 to 1.2: All Athlon (Thunderbird) processors with both 100MHz and 133MHz FSB. AthlonXP processors are not officially supported due to a minor timing problem that can require you to hit reset during a cold boot. Unofficially, however, few people seem to experience this problem and these processors work fine.

thanx for the help.
in theory, what is the max XP rating the board will do?
will it do upto XP2000?
i`m assuming my mobos a 1.2 as si-soft sandra reports it as a 1.2. is this right, or is their another way to tell without looking at the mobo?
