I'm going to update my CPU driver as well as my mobo driver (Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR). Do I need to uninstall my mobo old driver or CPU driver first, then install the fresh new driver?

Or should I just install the newest driver, and it will overwrite the other old driver?

Firstly, there will be instructions at the d/l site. Follow those.

Secondly, I've always installed over the top (as that was the instructions) and never had a problem.

AMD has a Athlon 64 CPU driver.
However, most chipset driver packages include this driver.

If you are using the integrated features on-board, like sound, lan, ect., I would only use the drivers from soltek. I up-dated my friends nForce2 based Biostar N7NCG chipset drivers with the latest from nVidia's site and not Biostar, and it totally screwed the on-board sound he was using. Had 2d but no 3d sound capability. Games would not load due to no 3d sound card detection.

Had to throw in a sound card. So beware.
