Question about Xbox live profiles

Hey folks,

So I've been borrowing my friend's Xbox360 for about a month 😀

I bought Forza 2, and have been having a BLAST with it on his Xbox live account.

Unfortunately, he wants his box back. I'm ready to buy one, but is there any way to transfer the game data from his account to my account?

I don't want to have to start all over!!

You can use a memory card to bring over the Forza game save, but I'd say it probably ties game saves to profiles. If that's the case, you're screwed because I can't really see a good way to copy his profile over unless it hasn't been taken online yet. Maybe if you copy his profile and game save over before connecting your box to the internet, then changing the name of the profile so you can register it with Microsoft? Not sure if that'd work, good luck.

You can usually transfer game saves with a memory card, as for things like friends lists and achievements, you'd have to buy his GT off of him.

It really depends on the game. Some gamesaves are tied to the profile.

I know DOA4 gamesaves cannot be transferred to different profiles, but I know stuff like Kameo and a lot of other games can be.

Go ask on the forums at http://www.360gamesaves.com , I used to help run that site but don't really anymore as the gamesaves don't work. But the forums are still pretty active.

Some are tied to profiles so you don't cheat at getting Achievements.

I changed consoles with the same HD and no problem...but unsure about when you change the account. Agreed Forza 2 is one of the best games I have played in a long time
