Ok this may seem like a dumb question but is it possible to damage your 360 during a storm which makes your power go off,i was playing my xbox 360 and it started storming so i turned it off but i didn't know it would make all my power go off bu i didn't unplug it from the socket.

Afterwards when the power came back on the xbox works fine but i'm afriad i have some kind of problems because of that in the future, should i be worried?

If you don't have it attached to a grounded surge protector, then yes, it could be damaged during a storm in the same way that any other unprotected electronics would be.

So it doesn't matter if the box was turned off? Also would it be possible to occur problems in the future because of it?

No it doesn't matter if its turned off, so if you are worried about it either get a decent surge protector or unplug it. Some surge protectors come with insurance that covers a certain $ amount worth of electronic in the event they fail. Very useful if you have a home theater set up worth many thousands of dollars.

Also make sure your outlets are truly grounded. My last apartment had 3 prong grounded outlets in the walls, but it wasn't until a transformer blew in a storm and even though I was hooked to a surge suppressor my pc wouldn't boot afterwards. Turned out my power supply was fried because there was actually no ground wire hooked up to the outlet itself. Many of the better surge/power conditioners have status lights to let you know the outlet has a good ground.

It's not the loss of power, but the surge right before that gets you. If it's storming bad you want to unplug any devices not connected to a surge protector.
