Question about x1900xt clock speed.

I finished my computer recently and I have a x1900xt in the comp. I downloaded Catalyst Control Center and its showing the clock speed as 500mhz, I heard that the card automatically clocks itself to the normal speed during a game and I was wondering if there was some way to actuall check that is happening or should I just assume it does?

You should assume it does.

In CCC overdrive there should be current clocks and "requested" clocks. The requested clocks are what you are getting in 3D.

download the latest "Rivatuner" and set it to run in the background. It will run during your gaming and show you the clock changes... have fun.
