Question about X-Connect

Ok, I bought a 500 watt X-Connect (I think it is the older, it's Blue with Orange cables.)I have heard bad things about it. So I was wondering if it would work for this system:
It is an eMachines
AMD Xp 3100 (I think)
Basic Motherboard
6800 APG
2 X 512 mb RAM(generic)
2 X 160 gb HDD (one is a seagate)
1 CD-ROM
1 DVD-R

It is an X-Connect.
I also have a FSP 400watt that I took out of my system.
Would that be better?
(This is for my bros system)

both the x-connect and X2 will work, as they have 20 pin connectors on both. the X2 has the 20+4 pin so you dont have to use the extra 4 pins on older mobos...

i think both will be just fine. the x-finity is better. heck, i think even the cheaper V-series 500W will be enough for that system.

Were you worring about the voltage not being enough to support the system or the motherbord atx power connector not fitting? neither of which should be a problem
