If you can't determine the person's gender from their name, how would you write the "Dear" part of the letter? Instead of writing Dear Mr. Johnson, would you write our Dear [their full name]?
Am I the only who hates using "dear" in a letter when I don't even know the person? I've been in a quandary about writing emails for this reason. I've started settling for "Good day" instead.
