I plan on purchasing the 2 wireless peices, but wondered if the scenario described below is possible.
1 Dlink 4 port switch
1 Linksys Wireless Router
1 Linksys wireless USB adapter
2 DSL ISPs on one phone line

Wireless router will be connected to the modem in the kitchen, while sending the signal to the wireless USB adapter to the room upstairs which in turn is plugged into the uplink port of the Dlink switch. Desktop and laptop are plugged into the switch -- now here's the tricky part. Can I use my desktop to sign in to ISP #1 and laptop sign in to ISP #2?

I can accomplish this with a tethered netowrk, but with the router handling the signing on I have no idea how it works in this setup. Will it allow 2 simultaneous PPPoE sessions?

Thanks

most likely you wont be able to get 2 isps on one phone line, as which ever has the true control of the phone line will provision it and basically steal it from the other. that is the problem i see

Actually you can. The DSL here in Ontario is run by one company called Bell Nexxia, a division of Bell Canada. Any VARs that want to resell the service under their own brand name still has to be provisioned by Nexxia.

I have one with Bell Canada, a service they call Sympatico and one with another small startup VAR.

So basically it's: Modem --- Authentication/Radius --- gateway --- internet. All I know is I'm able to sign on with either pass. Sympatico or small ISP.

My current setup allows me to browse the net with 2 networks on one service through signing on twice.

modem > uplink port on switch > computer 1, computer 2 doing different signing on. I have my laptop browsing one ISP, while another browsing/downloading from the other ISP.

I just don't know if a wireless router is capable of doing this or not. That is keep 2 PPPoE sessions alive concurrently. I"ll find out soon enough.
