is there anyone i can get my laptop to have a better signal, i have a wireless pcmcia card, and i get 26% connection, its cause im pretty far from the AP, but i cant get any closer, i tried a range expander by linksys which i couldnt get to work.. but my connection withmy laptop always drops, than i have to double click the conenction again, and ill be on the connection for like 2 mins, than it drops, etc.... any ideas?

Assuming that your PCMCIA working correctly there is not any thing you can do on the Laptop Side. Unless your card has a connection that allows External Antenna and you are willing to tie down the Laptop to a Directional Antenna.

I do not know where you installed the Expander but if it is close to the same spot that the Laptop is it will not work since it will receive the same weak signal as the laptop.

Expander has to be place about mid way between you and the source.

If it is a Signal you are ???Picking??? from someone else there is nothing you can do about it.
