Hypothetical:
My father has a Centrino notebook (Radioshack deal, wo0t.) with 802.11b.
Now, we don't have an AP up yet. I figure we might as well splurge and get the G flavour of WiFi, since it's only about twenty bucks more and offers future growth.
My question is - should we buy that and I get an .11g card, will the router stream 11Mbps to him and 54Mbps to me, or will it cut the speed down for both of us by falling back to a "B-compatible" mode?
