question about Wink and house alarm system

anyone has this system setup with their Wink hub?

most of the complaints on amazon and everywhere else is that you cant use it like a "normal" alarm system. you cant arm and disarm it.
im looking for a simple system whereby im outside of the house, hit arm button on the phone. if the sensors trip, then siren goes off and also notifies me. before entering the house, i hit the disarm button on the phone.
please advise.

Why wouldn't you want that? An alarm isn't terribly useful if it isn't monitored.

Think of a car alarm....does anyone care when one goes off?

Somebody that breaks into your house won't know that it isn't being monitored. They aren't sticking around long enough to find out anyway.
