Can I do Visual Basic developement in WINE? Will Visual Basic Enterprise work from within WINE? I would like to switch to a *nix for awhile, but can't not do Visual Basic. I am taking classes for it:eek: I know I could dual boot, but if I install both, I will never leave windows. Trust me, I've done it before...;)

Link works. Excellent info, even if there is no how to, my basic question was answered, it seems like it will be possible. Guess I need to learn how to use samba and wine this weeked...phew. I do have one more question about wine. If I install something and it coughs up a lung asking for a specific dll say... xxxxxx.dll, can I go to my windows box and copy the dll from there or will it need to be registered with wine? I guess I'll be finding out.

To my understanding (and I dont have much with WINE) you just need to stick it in the proper place. Take a look at some of the WINE docs though, this may be covered. I havent had the time/need to play with wine, but Id like to have free agent again, so Ill get around to it eventually :p

I was looking at some of your posts about BSD. Does WINE work in BSD? Would I be better off using BSD that Linux? What would be the advantages?

It would work with the BSDs. There are no advantages except personal taste probably...

It depends on which BSD. sml seems to be pretty smooth with FreeBSD, OpenBSD is my personal choice.
