Ok here is my situation...Its bugging the hell out of me:
3 Months ago I install WindowME on my laptop. I dial up to MSN and get connected. Problem is, I get no data. Nothing happens ...Just a dead line...But it stays connected. Same thing over and over.
Luckily I have WIN 2000 dual booting on my D: drive....Modem works fine...So I eliminate the possibility that it was my MSN ISP not working.
Ok NOW....Yesterday I got a extra box from a friend of mind. I dumped in some parts that I had laying around...Basically its a 475 Mhz AMD K62....The modem is a Lucent WinModem.
I install WIN ME on this meachine....On a clean drive and everything. I install MSN, dial up....Guess what? Same problem as on my laptop.
Does anyone have any clue why this is happening to me. I am so mad because I have done a clean reinstall 3 times now and I am getting impatient with Windows ME.
Is there something I am doing wrong...Or any kind of bug...Any help would be so appreciated. By the way my drivers are updated and correct.
