i'm trying to see if i can use win2k's built in ftp server rather than bothering with 3rd party software. i've looked at all my documentation and i dont see a way to specifically manage individual accounts that are made for the ftp only. is this a limitation with pro? i think the documentation hinted that server would do it for me, which would totally ruin the built in ftp for me.

i've been using gene6 ftp for a while and it just does not want to behave the way it should for some reason, so thats why i want to learn this win2k ftp. any help would be appreciated.

Basically, what you need to do is create local accounts on your machine for your FTP users. You then assign permissions to those users on your FTP root. Start/run lusrmgr.msc will get you to the local machine user manager.
