Question about WHOIS lookup

on the domain I just bought. Hosting is through Crystaltech who registered the domain for me through Melbourne IT.

I would prefer to only have my name and state and possibly e-mail listed to the public through a WHOIS lookup. Rather than have my full address and phone number listed.

Can I put n/a in those fields for the Organization and Administration Information? Or will this cause me to lose my domain?

My assumption is that the company already has my contact and billing information, so I'll just change it for purposes of WHOIS lookups. But I want to be certain of this.

The only thing that really matters is the DNS entries. You can edit all the other info through which ever registrar they used for the domain registration.
