Hi guys I was looking into getting a new labtop sometime soon and I was wondering if perhaps any of you know when would be a good time to get a new one.I'm gonna be using this labtop mostly for gaming on cutting edge games that will comeout or have such as crysis or bioshock.I wanna be able to run these games as good as possible with this new labtop.I've looked around on dell and alienware's websites to try to see what Mobile GPUs and processors they have to offer and they seem pretty awesome. The only problem is that I cannot know if there will be a release of a new mobile GPU or new processer for notebooks anytime soon(within 6 months).I was wondering if you guys had any idea of when new cards and processors will be released.I also was wondering if they won't be released within next 6 months whether you guys could provide me a link to the best gaming labtop I can get at the moment. Thanks alot!

Anandtech has review and benchmarks of the Geforce 8300m? I think in the mobile section. It basically shows the Alienware laptops killing everything.

My theory with buying laptops is wait until you absolutely have to, then get the best one you can. Since they aren't easily updated you want the best so it lasts the longest. Many might scoff at the thought of a gaming laptop, but if it's going to be your only computer and you aren't static for a while then why not. I'm persoanlly waiting until after XMas to laptop shop as hopefully some good hardware will come out for the season.

labtop misspeellled thriicce? was it intentional?

anyway, as onlyCOpunk said, if you want to play games on a laptop, expect to shell out big bucks for Alienware and FalconNorthWest stuff... personally, gaming on a laptop is still a contradiction.
