I am worrking on a linux box and when i connect the monitor to the machine and start it up, all i see is a full screen of the letter 'e'
like this:

Machine is running fine since i can telnet into it from another computer about 3-4 mins after starting it up.
The monitor is also fine. Checked with other comps.
Does anyone know what this specific error means?
resolution? vid card? what?...
